- The box needs 2.4 GHz WiFi and USB-C power. The cable is included.
- The box has no sensors, camera or microphone - it shows the current conditions from the nearest weather station, the Ilmapiir forecast and warnings, not a locally measured indoor or outdoor temperature.
- The box is safe to use and is built following cybersecurity best practice.

Is Ilmakarp a weather station?
Not quite. Ilmakarp has no sensors. It shows the forecast for your location, lightning strikes and official warnings from the same sources Ilmapiir uses.
What do the light colours mean?
The light shows the most important weather right now and over the next two hours. Precipitation counts only when its probability is at least 40 %. In the menu you can change the brightness of the light, switch it off, or let it come on only when the weather is about to change.

- Small parts - choking hazard. The box is not a toy. It contains small parts, such as screw caps and rubber feet. Keep it away from small children.
- Use the box indoors only, at a temperature of 5-35 °C. Keep it dry and away from liquids. It is not waterproof.
- Use only a 5 V DC USB power supply that is CE-marked and complies with EN IEC 62368-1. A power supply (adapter) is not included. Do not use a damaged power supply or cable.
- Do not open or repair the box yourself. If you notice excessive heat, smoke or a smell, disconnect the box from the power supply and contact the manufacturer.
- Do not make safety decisions based on the box alone: lightning data and warnings may be missing because of a delay or a lost connection. In dangerous weather, follow the warnings of the national weather service.
