Weather and climate in Jõgeva
Jõgeva is the cold capital of Estonia: on 17 January 1940 the country's cold record of -43.5 °C was measured here. The inland position of Vooremaa and its concave landforms collect cold air on clear nights, which is why Jõgeva's overnight minimums are often the lowest in Estonia.
