Weather and climate in Kuressaare
The weather in Kuressaare is ruled by the sea on every side: winters on Saaremaa are much milder than on the Estonian mainland, spring is cool and late, and autumn is long and warm. Snow arrives on the island later and melts earlier than on the mainland.
On the islands the wind is almost always present, and storm warnings affect Saaremaa more often than inland areas. Official warnings appear on this page as soon as the warning area covers Kuressaare.
Where this forecast comes from
